Donna Marie
Borsvold
November 2, 1959 – August 11, 2025
Donna Marie Borsvold passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Dearborn, Michigan. Born on November 2, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, Donna's life was a testament to the power of compassion and familial bonds.
Donna's journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Gene and Marilyn Demaree. Her life was enriched by the love of her devoted husband, Keith Borsvold, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a family that became Donna's pride and joy. She was the loving mother of Amy (Wessley) Crockett and Brandon (Krystle) Borsvold, and the adored Nana of Ashton Crockett, Brody Crockett, Owen Borsvold, Evan Borsvold, Vinny Borsvold, and Anthony Borsvold. Her role as a Nana was one she embraced with every ounce of her being, showering her grandchildren with affection and wisdom.
Donna's siblings, Tim Demaree, Linda (Mike) Gable, and Joe (JeanAnne) Demaree, will remember her as a sister who always extended her heart and home to them. She was a cherished daughter-in-law to Margaret and the late Lloyd Borsvold and a dear sister-in-law to Eric (Ann) Borsvold, Greg Borsvold, and Mark (the late Cindy) Borsvold. Her family circle was completed by her beloved dogs, Sage and Kam, who were not only her companions but also a central part of her life.
Animals were Donna's passion, and she was a proud rescue mom, advocating for the well-being of all creatures great and small. Donna was the embodiment of family-oriented values, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones, especially during the girls' weekends that became a cherished tradition.
A collector of angels, Donna's home was a reflection of her spirit, filled with symbols of protection and love. Her collection was more than a hobby; it was a visual representation of the care and guardianship she provided to all who knew her.
Donna will be remembered as a loving, kind, and friendly soul, whose presence could light up a room. She was a woman who lived her values and made the world a better place by simply being in it.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Providing for a Paws or Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit.
