Dianna Jean Draper was born on February 24, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. Dianna lived a life marked by dedication, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family and community. Dianna graduated from Persian High School in 1962, Dianna enlisted in the United States Air Force, where she served for four years. Her military service took her to various locations, including Germany and England, broadening her perspective and instilling in her a deep appreciation for different cultures. Following her time in the Air Force, she pursued higher education at Washtenaw Community College, earning an associate's degree in 1986. She furthered her studies at the American Institute of Banking and later attended Wayne State University. Dianna built a successful career in accounting, holding several positions before joining Chrysler Corporation in 1966. Her meticulous nature and strong work ethic made her a valued member of the accounting division. She remained with the company until her retirement in 2004. Beyond her professional achievements, Dianna was a passionate traveler who explored both the United States and international destinations. She often traveled with her mother Ruth and son Scott, creating cherished memories together. She also loved bowling, reading, gardening, and was an avid NBA fan. Whether watching the Detroit Pistons courtside at The Palace or cheering for the Bad Boys from home with her son Scott, basketball was one of her greatest joys. Among Dianna's greatest accomplishments was raising her beloved son, Scott Netter. She loved spending time with him whether it be watching him play all his baseball, basketball and bowling games. She took immense pride in guiding him to follow his path and pursue his dreams. Dianna's love for Scott was boundless, and their close bond was evident to all who knew them. Her faith played a central role in her life. As a devoted member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, she actively participated in church functions and Sunday deaconess services. She also served as a proud former board member, dedicating her time to supporting the church community alongside her mother and son. Throughout her life, Dianna demonstrated remarkable strength and compassion. She faced challenges and was a true fighter through personal and medical health battles. She was resilient and never hesitated to extend kindness to those around her. Her generosity and empathy left a lasting impact on many lives. Dianna Jean Draper, 80, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, at 4:44 pm. Dianna is survived by her son Scott Netter and his wife Donna Faaiu; her siblings Charisse Hall, Thaddeus Draper (Dishelle), Taiana Coke (Andrew), and Terri Draper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul E. Draper and Ruth Malinda Draper. Dianna's legacy of love, perseverance, and courage will continue to inspire those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. She will forever be in our hearts. We will miss her dearly.
