He was a loving father to his daughters, Bridget (Joe) Richardson and Nicole (Matthew) Pesta, and a doting "Papa" to his grandchildren, Alexa, Ashlyn, Jase, Nathan, Collin, and Brooklyn. His legacy of love is also carried on by his sisters, Betty (Delbert) Kidd, Patty (Bob) Kohne, Debbie (David) Feddersen, and Sherri (David) Grissom, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who were all part of his extended comedy audience.

Though preceded in death by his parents, H.C. "Jim" Queen and Annie Queen, his son, Eric John Queen, and his granddaughter, Madison, Rick's spirit of joy and resilience remains a beacon for all who knew him.
