David Brian
Congdon
January 29, 1957 – October 12, 2022
David Congdon was born on January 29, 1957 in Almont, Michigan. He passed away on October 12, 2022 at the age of 65 in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
David graduated from Romeo High School in 1975. He went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Macomb Community College. He then worked for General Electric as a Computer Network Service Engineer for over 20 years. On August 12, 1978 he married the love of his life, Cathy, and together they shared 44 years of love and laughter. After their marriage, they had two beautiful children, Janis and James.
David enjoyed watching old Westerns and Star Trek. He loved tinkering with computers and controllers over the years. He would often go camping with family and friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed fly fishing with James, woodworking, and painting-- he even painted his own car when he and Cathy first started dating. He loved his pistachios, especially around Christmas. He is remembered for his passion of cooking, one of his dishes his family loved was his chili. It was different every single time he made it, but always delicious. David was a handyman, he would prefer to learn how to fix things himself. His family described him as resourceful, compassionate, thoughtful, and extremely intelligent. David will be deeply missed by all.
David is survived by wife, Cathy Congdon, daughter, Janis (Ben) Brinkert, son, James (Ashley) Congdon, granddaughter, Juniper Congdon, sister, Laurie (Dave) Bullard, brother, Dan (Linda) Congdon, many nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by parents, Frank Edward Congdon and Alene Congdon.
