Daniel L.
Randall
February 11, 1953 – April 10, 2025
Daniel L. Randall, affectionately known as Danny, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 72 in Clinton Township, MI, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 11, 1953, in Nankin Township, MI, Danny was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him.
Danny dedicated 25 years of his life to serving the community as a respected Wayne police officer. His commitment to safety and justice was unwavering, and he was equally proud of his work providing security for the Ford family. His professional life was marked by integrity, courage, and an unwavering dedication to the public.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Randall, who was the cornerstone of his life. Together, they built a family founded on love, laughter, and mutual respect. Danny was a devoted father to Michael, Jason, Jamie (married to Robert Mardegian), and a devoted step father to Scott Richardson, and Jason Richardson. He was the cherished son of the late Bert and Hazel Randall and a caring brother to Terry Randall and the late Gary Randall. His role as a grandfather was one he cherished, and he leaves behind many grandchildren and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Danny's love for his family was paralleled by his passion for Detroit sports teams. Whether it was the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, or Pistons, he was a dedicated fan who celebrated their victories and stood by them through their defeats. His loyalty to his teams was a reflection of his loyalty in life – steadfast and true.
His prized Mustang was more than just a car to Danny; it was a symbol of his love for classic American engineering and the open road. Many will remember the sight of Danny, with a beaming smile, behind the wheel of his Mustang, with his faithful dog Dylan by his side. Dylan was more than a pet; he was a loyal companion and a source of boundless joy for Danny.
Described by those who knew him as easy-going, Danny's presence was a source of calm and comfort. His easy smile and gentle demeanor made him a friend to many. He approached life with a rare combination of warmth and steadiness that drew people to him.
The memories of Danny will be forever cherished and kept alive in the stories that will be passed down through generations. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by kindness, commitment, and a gentle spirit.
Daniel L. Randall lived a life that was full and meaningful. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testament to the power of a gentle soul in a harsh world, and he will always be remembered with love and admiration. We take solace in knowing that his legacy will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched. Rest in peace, Danny. Your memory will forever be a guiding light.
