Obituary

Carol Ann Kenyon, a beacon of kindness and love, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Westland, Michigan, at the age of 66. Born on January 10, 1959, in Fostoria, Ohio, to the late Albert Jones and Arlene Jones, Carol's warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Carol's life was one marked by deep love and enduring relationships. She was the cherished wife of Kevin Kenyon, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 39 years, having tied the knot on April 12, 1986. Their love story began with playful whistles during Kevin's motorcycle rides and blossomed into a lifelong partnership following a serendipitous blind date arranged by a mutual friend.

A beloved sister, Carol leaves behind a legacy of family bonds with Kathy Keister, James (Kristen) Kenyon, Laura Contos, and Judy (Patrick) Schnider. She was predeceased by Kevin's sister Joy Taylor, but her nurturing spirit lives on in the memories of her siblings.

An adored aunt, Carol's generous hugs and attentive nature will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Sean Keister, Sara (Seth) Meyer, Olivia (Scott) Perry, John Contos, Zachariah Schnider, Vance Schnider, James (Mercedes) Schnider, and Annalisa (Jason) Berger. Her great-nieces, Rivers, Anastasia, and Katie, also held a special place in her heart.

Carol's academic prowess led her to achieve a Master's degree in accounting, a field where her analytical mind and attention to detail shone brightly. However, it was her passion for the great outdoors that filled her leisure time with joy. An avid hunter, camper, and fisher, Carol found solace and excitement in nature's embrace. Bird watching was a favored pastime, and her knowledge of the Psalms often provided comfort and inspiration during these quiet moments of reflection.

Not only did Carol have an eye for the beauty of the wilderness, but she also had a knack for finding the best bargains during her shopping adventures. Her infectious enthusiasm for life was evident in the way she cherished these simple pleasures.

Carol was known for her loving nature and the kind way she engaged with the world. She had the unique ability to make each person she spoke with feel genuinely special, ensuring they had her undivided attention and a meaningful connection during their interactions. Her hugs were legendary, enveloping loved ones in a warmth that will be sorely missed.

In every aspect of her life, Carol exemplified what it meant to be a selfless and giving person. She would go to great lengths to help anyone in need, always putting others before herself. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and the joy of living a life devoted to the happiness of others.

Carol Ann Kenyon's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those she loved. Yet, the memories of her vibrant spirit and the love she shared will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends. As we bid farewell to Carol, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and cherish the countless moments of joy she brought into our lives.
