Obituary

Brooke Lorraine Theisen, a beacon of love and selfless devotion, left this world on May 29, 2024, but not without leaving an indelible mark of kindness on everyone she touched. Born on November 19, 1980, in Pontiac, Michigan, Brooke's journey through life was one filled with laughter, animal cuddles, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

Brooke's early years were spent in the loving embrace of her parents, Thomas and Cheryl Groves. Her life blossomed further when she married her soulmate, Robert Theisen, and together they created a life rich with joy and three wonderful children: Alyssa, Jordan, and Caleb. Her brother Jason (Shannon) Groves, mother-in-law Carolyn Theisen, sister-in-law Cherie (Chris) Johnson, and brother-in-law Joel Theisen, along with her nieces and nephews Audrey, Alexander, Connor, and Rayna, all held special places in her heart. And let's not forget her furry companions, Pepper, Smudge, and Jinx, who were more than just pets; they were integral members of her cherished family.

Brooke's career path led her to the Wayne-Westland School District, where she worked as a paraprofessional. However, her true vocation was being the rock of her household. She was the glue that held everything together, the engine that powered the family train, and the GPS that navigated the hectic schedules of her children. Her dedication to her family was unmatched, and she took on the role of a homemaker with the passion of a CEO running a Fortune 500 company.

Her interests were as vast as her heart. Brooke had an affinity for the zoo, where she could indulge her love for animals and share that love with her children. She was an immense support system, particularly during the online schooling era, where she proved that patience is indeed a virtue, and sometimes, a superpower. Brooke was the kind of mom who not only ran her children around town for school functions but did so with the enthusiasm of a professional chauffeur—minus the hat and the fancy suit.

Brooke was known for her ability to help others with a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was infectious. She was the person you could count on to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder to cry on. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and she was the epitome of kindness—a truly great mom who fought for her family until the very end.

Brooke Lorraine Theisen's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the kind of warmth that could thaw even the coldest Michigan winter. She was a fighter, a lover of life, and the best mom her kids could have asked for. While she may have left the physical world, her spirit remains—a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we bid farewell to Brooke, we do so with the knowledge that her journey was full of joy, her life was well-lived, and her memory will forever be cherished. Brooke, you may have left us, but your laughter echoes in our hearts, your kindness inspires our actions, and your love will always be the wind beneath our wings. Fly high, dear Brooke, and know that you are deeply missed and eternally loved.
