Brian Monteith, age 43, passed away on July 30, 2026. He was born on March 10, 1983, to Gary Wofford and Sheila Monteith.

Brian was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his loving parents, Gary Wofford and Sheila Monteith, and his brother, Craig Wofford.

Brian was often described as “God’s child.” His faith-filled spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering ability to bring happiness to others left a lasting impression on all who met him. He had the biggest smile, one that could light up any room, and his laughter and enthusiasm for life were truly contagious. Brian possessed a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved, and his presence brought warmth, comfort, and life wherever he went.

Though Brian faced challenges throughout his life, he met them with remarkable strength, courage, and grace. He taught those around him valuable lessons about kindness, perseverance, and unconditional love. His joyful spirit served as an inspiration to his family, friends, and caregivers, who were blessed to share in his journey.

Brian’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. While his family grieves his loss, they find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and embraced by God's eternal love. His beautiful smile, loving heart, and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten.

Brian will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

The family invites those attending Brian’s services to honor his loving and joyful spirit by bringing a teddy bear in his memory. All teddy bears collected will be donated, continuing the kindness and comfort that Brian shared throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Joni and Friends organization, whose mission of serving individuals with disabilities and their families reflects values that were meaningful to Brian and those who loved him.

The family also respectfully asks for your consideration regarding attendance. Due to Sheila’s ongoing health struggles, anyone who is currently ill or has recently been sick is asked to remain at home. For those attending the services, the family kindly requests that masks be worn to help protect Sheila and other vulnerable guests. Your understanding, care, and support during this difficult time are greatly appreciated.
