Billy Ray
Arm
November 3, 1949 – May 20, 2025
Billy Ray Arm, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, at the age of 75 in Wayne, Michigan. Born on November 3, 1949, in Carbon Glow, Kentucky, Billy Ray's life was a testament to the strength and warmth of his spirit.
Billy Ray honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent his working years dedicated to General Motors, where he began as a lineman and later shared his talents as a painter after moving to Romulus. His commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna Arm, and their daughters, Toni Marie Adams (Duane) and Sheila Vulnavia Morgan (Bill). He was predeceased by his son, Brian Kelly Arm (Claudine). Billy Ray was a loving brother to Francine, Sharon, Mike, Jeff, Theresa, Ellen, Donald, Danny, and Ricky, and he fondly remembered his late siblings, Charlotte, Connie, Darrell, and Duane.
Billy Ray's legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Gabrielle, Megan (Taylor), Brandon (Destiny), Daniel (Jaymee), Nathan (Breonna), Arabella, and Logan, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Emberly, Mylah, Aralyn, Aziah, Ella, Delylah, and Brewer. His life was enriched by the joy and laughter of many more family members, friends, nieces, and nephews, who will miss him dearly.
An avid outdoorsman, Billy Ray found solace in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed hunting squirrels, fishing, and camping, embracing the beauty of nature. His love for Oldies music could be felt in his joyful spirit, and his passion for collecting coins was a hobby that brought him great satisfaction. Billy Ray's hands were rarely still, as he delighted in making model cars to add to his collection and working on puzzles, challenging his mind and dexterity.
A fan of Western literature, he often had a William John Stone book in hand, losing himself in tales of the rugged frontier. Billy Ray's life was a beautiful mosaic of the things he loved and the people he cherished.
As we bid farewell to Billy Ray Arm, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, passion, and love. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and his presence will forever be felt in the hearts of those who knew him.
