Betty Helen Kirk passed away on March 16, 2022 at the age of 93 in Cheboygan, Michigan. She was born at Byer Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan on July 25, 1928 to Glen Easton and Ruth Kathryn (Wick) McConnell. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Robert J. Kirk, her brother, Glen Easton McConnell Jr., daughter-in-law, Mardell, wife of Robert Paul Wilcox, and step son-in-law, Reno Divito.

Betty returned to high-school and graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1983 at the age of 55. Betty was artistic and drew in chalk and colored pencils. Her family has many of her drawings. Before marrying Robert Kirk, she was working at Creative Universal as a graphic illustrator drawing automotive parts. She retired to move with Robert to Houghton Lake, Michigan. Betty's hobbies were making and sending greeting cards that made people smile, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles and capturing unusual camera shots.

Betty is survived by her children from her first and second marriages by; daughter Dian (Wilcox) Henson of Westland, Michigan; and sons, James (Trisha) Wilcox of Bedford, Texas, Robert Wilcox of Westland, Michigan, and Scott (Angie) Grabiec of Cheboygan, Michigan; Step-Children, Barbara (John) Frohock of Aberdeen, North Carolina, William Kirk of Centerville, Tennessee, Robert Kirk of Dania Beach, Florida, Lynda Divito of Fraser, Michigan, and Gary Kirk of San Francisco, California. Betty has four grandchildren; Phillip, Paul, Benjamin, and Rachel; Step-grandchildren, Scott, Tara, Jeffrey, Michael, Matthew, and Audrey. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.
