We are deeply saddened to announce that on September 19, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Betty D. Bielecki of Westland, Michigan.

Predeceased by her husband, Clemens J. Bielecki, her parents, William and Cuma Leckrone, and 10 siblings, Betty is survived by her sons, Joseph Bielecki (Colette) and William Bielecki (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Madelyn Staniak (Peter), Garrett Bielecki (Hilary) and Alexander Bielecki; and great-granddaughter Fiona Staniak; along with countless beloved nieces and nephews.

Born in Brethren in 1928, Betty was raised in a large loving family, the youngest of 11 children, in a much simpler time. Betty's family and friends remember her dedication to her marriage, to her family, and to her faith. Betty and Clem had 60 wonderful years together raising their sons, spending time with their grandchildren and, in Betty's last year, the joy of the arrival of her first great grandchild.

Betty and Clem treasured the wonderful friendships with families from the neighborhood where they first made their home 58 years ago, resulting in life-long bonds. Betty especially looked forward to annual family reunions held across the state, the gatherings with her 'lunch ladies,' the women with whom she worked for so many years, and her reunions with friends from grade school. ­­­­In retirement, Betty and Clem enjoyed spending time at their family cottage on Lake Huron, and traveling throughout Michigan and the U.S.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Uht Funeral Home, 35400 Glenwood Rd, Westland, MI 48186. On Thursday, September 22, 2022, visitation will be held at 10:00am at St. Richard Catholic Church, 35637 Cherry Hill Rd, Westland, MI 48186, to be followed by a Mass at 11:00am. A luncheon will be held immediately following Mass at Rose's Restaurant in Canton, MI.
