Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Barbara Anne Green was called home by God. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on August 11, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on August 7, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, Barbara spent her life bringing joy and laughter to everyone around her.

Barbara was a dedicated waitress, known for her warmth and generosity. For 41 wonderful years, she was married to her loving husband, Edward Green, with whom she shared countless memories and adventures. She was a devoted mother to her children, David Green, Tina (Harry Vinegar) Luckett, Charles Green, Laci Green and a proud Nanny to her grandsons, Ashton Luckett and Demareo Luckett Jr. She also shared a special bond with her Granddog Zola. Kitty, Edward's cat, will also miss her. Her family was her everything, and her capacity for love was boundless.

Barbara had a unique ability to connect with people, making everyone feel valued and heard. She was an amazing listener and a true friend to many. Her infectious sense of humor and playful spirit made gatherings brighter, and her loved ones will cherish the memories of her laughter for years to come. An avid Mahjong player, Barbara's competitive nature was always evident-she enjoyed every game as if it were the final match, determined to hone her skills until she reclaimed her position at the top.

In addition to her love for family and friends, Barbara had a passion for shopping and traveling. Her generous spirit extended beyond her home; she brought joy and comfort to those around her, touching lives in ways that will never be forgotten.

In this time of loss, we remember Barbara not with sorrow but with gratitude for the light she brought into our lives. Her kindness, humor, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace and be forever celebrated in our hearts.

Barbara was preceded in death by: Parents Edward and Anna Sandifer, Daughter,Laci Green and Sister, Mary Sloane.
