Barbara Pearl
Antieau
December 12, 1931 – November 2, 2025
Barbara Antieau, a cherished soul, left the physical world to join her heavenly family on November 2, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 12, 1931, to the late Walter and Pearl Brandt, she was a beacon of strength and love throughout her life. Barbara passed away peacefully in Farmington Hills, Michigan, surrounded by the love of her family.
Barbara's life was one of dedication and joy. She was a loving mother to her children, Daniel R. (Theresa) Antieau and Don R. Antieau, who will forever remember her wisdom and kind spirit. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, leaving a legacy of fond memories for Lisa M. (Kevin) Pritchard, Kristy L. Coretti, and the late Daniel J. Antieau. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Michael R. Antieau, Christopher A. Antieau, Liam Pritchard, Tristan Coretti, and Eli Coretti. Barbara was also a dear sibling to the late Leonard Brandt, the late Donald Brandt, and the late Gloria Mabry, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories.
Barbara's passion for life was evident in her many interests and hobbies. She found tranquility and joy in her regular walks, where she would take in the beauty of nature and the simplicity of life's pleasures. Her skillful hands were often busy with sewing, creating beautiful dresses, clothing, and various items for children. Her work was not only a showcase of her talent but also a testament to her love for her family and friends.
An ardent lover of the outdoors, Barbara enjoyed water skiing on the serene waters of Portage Lake whenever she had the chance. These moments of exhilaration and freedom were among her favorite memories. Her love for the water was paralleled only by her steadfast faith and commitment to her church community. For many years, Barbara was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, where she cultivated friendships and shared her unwavering faith with those around her.
Barbara's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the love of her family, the warmth of her friendships, and the dedication to her faith. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the impact of her love and the memories she created will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. As we bid farewell to Barbara Antieau, we celebrate a life lived with grace, a heart given freely to others, and a spirit that will forever inspire us to cherish each day.
