Obituary

Annette Stahl, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 69, in Westland, Michigan. Born on January 30, 1956, in Dearborn, Michigan, Annette's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and simple joys.

Annette grew up in a world where the bonds of family were everything. She was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Delores Burroughs and grew up alongside her brothers, Dennis and the late Ronald Burroughs. Annette's childhood was filled with the sweet innocence of pretend meals and laughter, a precursor to the love that would define her life.

Her love story with Mike Stahl, her devoted husband of nearly 48 years, was one for the ages. They grew up across the street from each other, and their affection blossomed from childhood playdates to a deep, enduring partnership. Annette and Mike's commitment to each other was evident in every aspect of their shared life and served as a beautiful example to all who knew them.

Annette's role as a mother and grandmother was where she shone brightest. She poured her love and kindness into her daughter, Michelle, and her son, Mike Jr., along with his wife, Karla. The joy of her life was further multiplied by her beloved grandchildren: Savannah Milam, Brianna Stahl, Luke Stahl , and twins, Jacob and Joshua Milam. Each birthday celebration was a cherished event, marked by Annette's insistence on cake and ice cream, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

A homebody at heart, Annette's world was her sanctuary. She cultivated a stunning flower garden, taking pride in every bloom that sprouted under her tender care. Her garden was a reflection of her inner beauty, a colorful and vibrant space where her kindness could grow and flourish.

Annette's love for romance was not only evident in her personal life but also in her choice of entertainment. She adored romance movies and cherished the feeling of warmth and love they evoked. This love of romance was a thread that ran through her life, from her childhood games to the quiet evenings spent with her husband.

Her passion for her family was matched by her love for Italian cuisine. Annette was an excellent cook, known for her homemade spaghetti and lasagna that would bring the family together around the dining table. These moments of shared meals and stories became the fabric of the Stahl family's history.

Kindness was the hallmark of Annette's character. She might have kept to herself, but her heart was never small. Those who were fortunate enough to know her felt the warmth of her gentle spirit. Annette's life was a quiet symphony of love and devotion, a melody that will resonate in the hearts of her family for generations to come.

Annette Stahl will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, care, and the beauty of a life well-lived, centered around the people who meant the most to her. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her children, Michelle and Mike Jr. (Karla); her grandchildren; and her brother, Dennis (Beverly) Burroughs.

As the sun sets on Annette's life, we are reminded of the brilliant colors of her garden at dusk-beautiful, serene, and full of the promise of another day. Annette's memory will live on like the perennial flowers she so lovingly tended, blooming year after year in the hearts of those she cherished.
