Alvin W. Angove Jr., aged 89, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Westland, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 16, 1935, in Dearborn, Michigan, he was a dedicated son to the late Alvin Angove Sr. and the late Delia Steffes, and a beloved brother to the late Shirley Manchester.
Alvin's tender heart found its match in his loving wife, Patricia Angove, with whom he built a rich life filled with joy and the laughter of children. His legacy lives on through his esteemed sons, Alvin and Jeffrey Angove, and his cherished daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Salter. The memory of his son, the late Steven Angove, is held in the hearts of all who knew him. Alvin took pride in his role as a grandfather to Jessica Groesbeck, Allison Angove, Sydney Angove, Julia Barnhard, Jordyn Barnhard, and Ella Salter, and he was a great-grandfather to Laney and Aldon Groesbeck.
His life's work as a mailman for the post office spanned many years, where he was known for his dependability and warmth. He was a man who valued the simple things in life, such as watching a game of golf or enjoying the crack of a bat during a baseball game.
