Alice Marie Katherine Rogers (Harrison), 84 years of age, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
Alice was born the third of six children on August 1, 1936, in Highland Park, Michigan to Bernard Harrison and Margaret Priscilla Castor (Paine-Harrison). Her siblings were James "Gene" Coffey, Barbara (Al) Wade, Shirley (Ron) Sankavich, Beverly (Ron) Spalding, Geraldine (Jack) Baine. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband (William Grant Rogers), two siblings, two brother-in-laws, and one son-in-law.
Alice married the love of her life, William (Bill) Grant Rogers on May 23, 1953. Celebrating 67 years of marriage in May of 2020. Together they had four children.
Alice loved working and serving the Lord in her church as a Sunday school teacher, greeting everyone from the welcome desk, singing in the choir and in many various ministries.
Alice began working as a lunchroom mother in 1971 and as a pre-school teacher in 1977. She worked for Calvary Baptist Daycare, Wayne (9 years), Kinder Care, Westland (2 years), and Cambridge Preschool Center, Garden City (13 years) and retired in 2001 at the age of 67.
Alice leaves to cherish her memory her children: Janice Blair, Vickie (Greg) Perkey, William (Tammy) Rogers Jr, Robin (John) Moore; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; 2 brother-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
