Philip Martinez was born on January 18, 1939 in Dearborn, Michigan. He passed away on March 18, 2021 at the age of 82 in Westland, Michigan. Philip grew up in Wayne and attended Wayne Memorial High School. He graduated in 1957 with three varsity sport letters. He then attended Western Michigan University. Philip worked at Cosumer's Energy for 35 years then enjoyed retirement alongside his wife, Barbara. They loved to travel and even made their way to Las Vegas for nearly 25 years to enjoy the southwest and all it had to offer. Philip loved sports, but especially golf. Philip and Barbara recently returned to their roots in Michigan. Philip is survived by Wife, Barbara L. Martinez; Two Daughters, Sandra Martinez, Susan Martinez-Reeves and her husband, Carl Reeves; Five Sisters, Vivian (the late Richard) Wocjik, Beverly (Dennis) Love, Cindy Hickman, Linda Martinez, Nancy Johnson; Two Brothers, Donald Martinez, Rick (the late Robin) Martinez; Grandson, Shawn Reeves; Granddaughter, Sheila (Wayne) Gilbert. He is preceded in death by Father, Manuel Martinez, Mother, Sophie Martinez, Son, Douglas Martinez.
