On December 16, 2020 the good Lord called Duane home. Duane was born to Dennis Francis Lang and Pearl (Brahmer) Lang, October 20, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Duane was a lifelong resident of Taylor, Michigan where he married and raised a family. Duane was married and devoted to his loving wife Carol, for 57 years. Duane worked for Ford Motor Company for 44.5 years in Dearborn, Michigan
Duane is survived by, wife Carol and their four children and their families. Duane "Dewey" Lang Jr., Shawn (Ed) Dreslinski, Dennis Lang and Daniell (Jim Ong) Lang. Grandchildren; Lindsay, Nate and Ben. Duane is also survived by his siblings; Rochelle, Roger (Carol), Laurene, Norbert (Jean), Greg (Lynn) and Darrel (Gail).

Duane was a successful and influential hockey coach in youth hockey where he helped kids develop on and off the ice, including several future NHL players. He had a passion for the Detroit Red Wings.
Duane was an avid outdoorsman who loved being outside while deer, turkey and duck hunting. He competed and relished fishing for bass in the warmer months. He was a competitive pigeon racer for a number of years.
But mostly, Duane was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was truly special in how he instilled guidance and a gentle, nurturing hand to help pass on his incredible mechanical and building knowledge to his family. Duane was first to jump in and offer help at anytime for any project. He was also a rabid fan of his children's and grandchildren's sporting events from youth sports through college and even into adult recreational leagues being a constant positive presence in the stands. Duane loved animals and nature. He had a joy for life with his family and seeing them flourish and enjoy life.
